    1. Nonesense Notes
    2. How do these junk notes get on the Clay County site? I have received several that are just gibberish.

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Willoughby, Carpenter, Brewster Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/2R.2ADE/558.562.699.1.1 Message Board Post: I think Mary Jane was actually Nancy Jane, at least she was Nancy J. Brewster when she married William J. Willoughby in 1877 and is Nancy J. wife of William J. Willoughby in the 1880 and 1900 censuses. Data posted to the Clay Co. archives say that she was the daughter of James Carpenter and Sarah Harlen, and it was in the home of Sarah Carpenter that Nancy and William married in 1877. Just today, a friend of mine who is a descendant of William and Nancy opened up a framed picture of a couple said to have been the parents of Charlie Willoughby, and, in my friend's father's handwriting it said that the people were William J. Willoughby and Nancy Carpenter Willoughby. Charlie is their son in the 1900 Clay Co. census, and he is my friends great grandfather. Do you have more on the ancestors of Nancy's parents James and Sarah? Regards, Jim Rice

    3. I may have some incorrect information and would appreciate your help in getting things straight. Some time ago I was sent a listing of the children of James Pleasant Lovvorn. One is Annie Elizabeth Lovvorn; b. 29 Sept. 1869 and died 3 Feb. 1918. Is this the same person you show married to Richard Loyal Farr?? The person who sent the Lovvorn information listed Annie Elizabeth Lovvorn as married to Julicy Myhan, but gave no date or place of marriage. So you will know of my interest in Lovvorn, my GG Grandmother, Martha Causey, was the 4th wife of James Pleasant Causey. They married 15 November 1880 in Clay County, Alabama. Almost certainly close to Delta, Clay County, Alabama as that is where my Sims ancestors were at that time. A quick look at some family files did find reference to Gladys Gaither married to a Farr in Clay Co., AL., but am inclined to think I've seen more on Farr families in one or more of the binders here. AH!, just found something in one of my binders with Sims in Chambers County, Alabama. Thomas David Carlton Sims married Mary J. Farr in Chambers County, Alabama on 29 November 1905. I don't have when she was born or the names of her parents, but she died December 1971 and is buried next to Thomas in the Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Chambers County, Alabama. That confirms what I was thinking, that both Sims and Farr lines were also in Chambers County, Alabama. My Sims GGG Grandparents are buried in Chambers County, AL. and my Sims GG Grandparents are buried in the old/first Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery near Delta, Clay Co., AL. -----Original Message----- From: goodhoods@knology.net <goodhoods@knology.net> To: ALCLAY-L@rootsweb.com <ALCLAY-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Tuesday, May 11, 2004 9:26 PM Subject: [ALCLAY] Richard Loyal Farr descendants >This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > >Surnames: Farr Lovvorn >Classification: Query > >Message Board URL: > >http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/2R.2ADE/1284 > >Message Board Post: > >I am looking for descendants of Richard Loyal Farr, my gggreat grandfather.
