Needing info on the Caldwell family of Clay county.
Thanks so much Charles
Chuck, I don't have much information on James Thomas and Nancy P. Henrietta(Ninny) Watts Dye. They were married 19 Mar 1890. I have one child listed, Hattie Dye who married Raymond Clifton. Most of my research is on the Watts family. I think I saw Jim Tom and Nancy P. on a census record, but I am not too sure about that because I have not looked for them very much since she descends from Isaac Watts and I descend from Isaac's brother, Moses Watts. Regina, My husband was a Shirey. I have looked for members of that family all over the south.I have found the name SHIREY spelled in so many different ways on census records. Here,in Clay Co.,AL, there ae records of them of the same family with their names spelled Shira, Sherry, Shirah, Shiry,Shire. I have been going through the census records for several months. I have found some in GA, NC and SC. I am still looking through the records. I have been through most of the 1790 census. I think I have finished with the 1800. I will watch for your Martins when I get to the 1890 census.
