I'm not related to these folks (as far as I know), but I'm curious as to what the population of Bluff Springs was in 1860. That is where my Hanson ancestors lived at the time. Has anyone come across a breakdown of the census records that would show population numbers, employment, churches, businesses, schools, etc., that would give a picture of the overall Bluff Springs community? Who were the community leaders or elected officials, or where did folks come from? Just wondering if anyone knows what the make up of the community was in 1860. Harriet
