    3. Have been off the list for a while.........what is the status of the reprinting of the Clay County Heritage Book? Placed my order July 1, 1999...............surely enough orders have been received in this period of time!!!!! By my calculations........it soon will be three years!! Emma Zaner was my gr gr grandmother and was married to Thomas LeAnder Green, his birthday was 9 Apr 1862. I don't know much about Emma Zaner. I thought mabe you could tie into it. They lived in Jefferson Co., Ala but Cleburne county is only 50 miles from this area so I know they are all around that general area. Good luck finding information. The Regan Family Reunion will be held this year starting at 12:00 noon, Saturday, April 20th 2001 at the religious home of the family since the late Seventeen hundreds, Regan United Methodist Church near Lumberton, North Carolina. This will the Reunion of the descendants of the Regan Brothers, John Regan, Ralph Regan and Richard Regan, Revolutionary War Officers of Bladen and Robeson Counties in North Carolina. Their descendants went to Dillon and Marion Counties in South Carolina; Decatur, Dodge, Jasper, Laurens, Pulaski, Sumter, Terrell, Washington and Wilkerson, as well as other counties in Georgia; Clay, Coffee, Conecuh, Dale, Monroe, Montgomery, Talledega as well as other counties in Alabama; Claiborne, Hinds, Marion, Rankin, Yazoo, as well as other counties in Mississippi; Beinville, Union and other Parishes in Louisiana; Anderson, Falls, Houston, Van Zandt and other counties in Texas; etc..................... They are in Wessbulga, Clay Co, Al According to Mary Araminta Putman, When her Burroughs husband/? died Mary married a man named Black. They lived on a farm in Ashland, Clay Co. Ala. Any help would be appreciated. George may have been illegitimate. Mary M. supposedly left Tennessee when she found she was pregnant.

    2. I'm not related to these folks (as far as I know), but I'm curious as to what the population of Bluff Springs was in 1860. That is where my Hanson ancestors lived at the time. Has anyone come across a breakdown of the census records that would show population numbers, employment, churches, businesses, schools, etc., that would give a picture of the overall Bluff Springs community? Who were the community leaders or elected officials, or where did folks come from? Just wondering if anyone knows what the make up of the community was in 1860. Harriet
