She married John Oliver Smith b. 3/26/1883 of Stroud, AL.(?). Annie's father may have been William Albert Griffin of Clay Co.He may have had a mercantile business in the area (possibly Lineville) that went under after the war. William also had ties to Chipley (Washington Co. Florida). Annie's siblings first names: Hattie, Arnold, Berry, Alvin and Martha (aka Aunt Dolly). Some other names associated with this family: A.J. "Buddy" Griffin, Ola Griffin, Sally Griffin and Gladys Griffin. Please notify me with any info you have, I wish I could be more specific, all I know is what you see here. Alabama) in or before 1819. His son was Samuel Allen King, who fought in the civil war and was wounded and captured at the battle of Champions Hill outside of Vicksburg. I am looking for any information on Allen W .. He lived about 5 miles outside of Ashland Al. (on Hwy 9, if I remember correctly).

When I was growing up, it was referred to a some family cemetary. The name escape me at present. The cemetary has some markers.

He married Perriba Baker on 28 April 1831 in Troup County, Georgia. They moved to Talladega County, Alabama in 1842, which is now Clay County. They were the parents of the following eight children: Sarah Frances, Harriet E., Ann P., Mary A., George, William, Martha, and sylvester McDaniel. Their home was in fish Head Valley. "He was converted to the Methodist church under the ministry of Rev. Lovick Pierce in Georgia, 19 October 1828, licensed to exhort by Rev. W. D. Matthews, LaGrange Circuit, Georgia Conference, 20 May 1834; licensed to preach by Rev. G. A. Chappell, in the Quarterly Conference of Hamilton Circuit, Georgia Conference, 30 July 1837..."
