Thanks to Elisabeth Green-Streeter we have online for Clay Co. a letter written "back home" to Randolph (Now Clay) Co. This is a fascinating letter from an Owens family in which quite a few families in Alabama are mentioned. Though I didn't find any of my ancestors listed I can tell you that I found it fascinating reading into what it must have been like for our early ancestors moving to a "foreign" land.
