I have a David A. Anderson born in 1822 in Virginia. In 1843 he married Dyanthia Belle Hood in Tallapoosa, Co., Ala. By 1860 he had moved to Randolph Co Ala, which later became Clay Co., He died in Apr 1862 in the Civil War. His wife stayed in Clay Co. until btwn 1870 and 1880 moved to Bell Co., Texas then to Callahan Co., Texas and died there in 1913. Many of there children moved to Texas also. Wondering if these Andersons were perhaps related since in same places.

I am looking for a link to my William W. Wilkins who was bn 1815 Ga. and came to Talladega/Clay Co. 1845-1850 and died in Ashland 1884. He was a grocer, farmer, and JP. He was married to Elizabeth Carpenter, P. Gordon, and Vina Holdridge Hardy. His daughter, Eliza Wilkins, was married to John Winkles 1882 Clay Co. His son,Sanford, was a retail merchant in the town of Ashland. He had the following children: Eliza, Sanford R., George W., Nancy, Ashalnd Z., John S., Cora, and Sallie. Mary E. "Mollie" Wilkins Hopkins bn 1865 died 1911 was my g-grandmother. I would like to contact a Wilkins or Winkles who still lives in the Ashland area. They came from Laurens Co. SC. You will find a Samuel McConathy residing there, is Joseph's father. You will also find Samuel McConathy, Joseph's son on the 1860 Sabine Parish, LA Federal Census.
