Crain, 1873-1910. She was married to John Thomas Burrow (1877-1947) in Clay County in 1895. The Clay County Marraige records 1895-1898 shows J.T. Burrow to M. E. Crain on Nov. 7, 1895 at bride fathers, so I believe her father lived in Clay County. They are both buried in Barnesville, Alabama. John Thomas remarried to Martha Knight.

It has taken almost three years, but I have found the wives of all but six of them. I also have a list of all the preachers. I am not sure of how much I have on the church and its members. As soon as I feel better, I will see what I can send to you. It may take a few days because I have pneumonia and I don't need to be up long. Remind me to look for them. pamshirey@acs-isp.com Pam

I am trying to find the names of Fred's parents and where they were from. Fred's death certificate lists his parents as George HARRINGTON and Carrie MILLS, both from New York; However, the 1910 US Census lists Fred and his wife Emma (misspelled HERRINGTON, page 133 in Hallins Town, Clay, AL) with his father from Illinois and mother from Pennsylvania. Any help is greatly appreciated.

When I went digging through the materials my sister sent, there was a photocopy of the Hollinshead family tree he drew up. There is also page 617 from J. P. Earwaker: East Cheshire, Past - Present, volume II 1880 which shows the family tree of the Hollinsheads of Heywood. In the 1830s there were silk mills in Salford, Broughton and Eccles as well as in Macclesfield, so perhaps your silk weaver relatives worked at one of those. Relatives of my mother still own a silk mill in Macclesfield and my cousin Robert is a master weaver. Regards, MIke

The Hollinsheads originated in Cheshire and spread from there the earliest mention is a Hugh Hollinshead alias Hollyns 1184 that maybe Hollynshed am not using my computer at the moment as it's down. I can sen you a gedcom file on it if you want, send an email to stephenhollinshead@hotmail.com If I remember correctly one of my line's branches lived in Stockport, but I think the silk weavers were a different branch from Macclesfield.
