I just found, in a box of old pictures, a photo of two little girls, approximately five and three years old, dating probably from ca 1880-1905. No studio is indicated, but on the back of the photo is written, "Charles Grayson's children by 2nd wife, half-sister to Mary" and, in another spot, "Miss Trudie (or Sudie) and Annie Grayson." I think these children must be the children of Charles O. Grayson, son of Young W. Grayson and Rebecca Emeline Capell -- he is one of the so-far-unaccounted-for siblings of my great-grandmother, Harriet Elizabeth Grayson. Charles, born in 1835, is listed in his father's will in Marengo County, AL in 1846, but I have found no further record of him. I know that his mother moved to Clarke County after his father's death, but I have not found him there, either. Since the photo of the two little girls was in my aunt's possession in Texas, I am wondering if Charles Grayson was one of the Graysons who came to Texas. Does anyone recognize Charles, with a second wife sister to Mary, and Misses Trudie (Sudie) and Annie Grayson? Nancy Harwood Houston, TX
