This collection of valuable information and stories on Clarke County Alabama contained in the Clarke County Historical Quarterly collection will not be accessed easily through the Historical Society. That archive collection is stuffed in an old dresser drawer in a hallway in the Historical building and is almost useless in the current condition. There is not a copy machine in the building. You will find this same collection in several Libraries. Mobile has a set and other Libraries will also - just search. This collection would be useful if it could be put online and this could be accomplished with permission of the Historical Society. We have not found any interest in the Society to help get this valuable data to researchers. The Society has not even indexed the stories so it is all just a pile of information to be searched through issue by issue. Hope this helps you get the copies. ....
