    3. My 2nd g-grandfather JA Sharp was living in Clarke county Al in the 1870 census. I have heard family stories he was in the Confederacy during the Civil War. I have found nowhere he was enlisted though. I feel he was enlisted from Clarke or Mobile county. I can tell from the dates his children were born that he was away from home the years of the war. If anyone in the Clarke county area has Civil War rosters with his name on it , I would appreciate your help very much. I have had a hard time trying to find any rosters out of Mobile. In 1877 in the late summer , he and his family with 12 more families started an ox-drawn wagon train to Tx. The Sharps arrived in Angelina county Tx the last of Nov 1877. According to family stories the train formed at a old church in Coffeeville . Would anyone know of such an old church there at that time. I believe most of the families including mine had resided at Grove Hill. Thank you very much Richard Sharp
