I am asking for help with the 1860 Clarke County Census. Is there still one out there? I am looking for my GGGrandmother, J.W. M.. ANDERSON am wife Nancy. I have found them in the 1850 Clarke Co. census but am unable to find the 1860. I need to find the age of J.W.M. Anderson and where he was born and to whom. J.W.M. ANDERSON I think his name was Joseph William. could be Marvin or Melvin. He bought swamp land in 1859 on Basset Creek from a man named Cranford or Crawford. J.W.M. joined the CW in 1862 and died in Mobile in 1863. If any one out there could help me with any information about this family it would be greatly appreciated.
