I just learned, from just-discovered family letter, that my great-uncle, William Grayson Davis (born Bashi, 1870), died in a Mobile streetcar accident. I have no exact idea of the timeframe, although I would suspect it was between 1886 and 1900. He and some of his Davis cousins (sons of Joshua A. Davis and James M. Davis of Clarke County) had been working in Mobile and were "coming back out to Prichard." I was wondering if the story of an area man's being run over by a streetcar might be something someone had run across in their research and give me a clue on just where/when to look. Any help would be appreciated.
