Dear List, Will someone please help me identify where my ancestors lived? I am a descendant of Matthew Coleman Cox (b: 1802) and Eleanor Robinson Cox (b: 1807). According to information from one of my aunts they lived most of their lives on a plantation in Satilpa. Since Matthew is buried in Cox Cemetery on the South side of Satilpa Creek off County Rd 21, 5 miles east of Coffeeville I would presume that they probably lived within a mile or two of that area. But, she also says that Matthew, his son John, and brother-in-law Rev William Carter built the old Tallahatta Episcopal Church South. Where is this? Is it near Tallahatta Springs?
