Deadline for the Chilton County Heritage book is fast approaching. I need to get my own in and if you don't have any articles submitted you may want to as well. See the webpage for more details. The 1880 transcription project is off to a great start. I have so many volunteers I'm having a hard time getting off copies to all of them. I will have copies in hand before I start another one. Beat 1 is almost finished and will be online next month hopefully. I hope to put all the census info online within the next few years and start on other info such as the federal land records. If anyone has records of any type of interest to Chilton or surronding counties you'd like to post please contact myself or Lygia Cutts <Cuttstree@net1inc.net> the Al Archives Coordinator.
