Because the some of the children living with them in 1860 COULDN'T be Didemiah E Foshee Martin when they were married Dec 23 1856. Sarah is living with them in 1860 age 9 years ; William 7 years; Martha 10 years and James 12 years. These children are probably from the first marriage.
