Your counties and the name Smitherman caught my eye. A Smitherman was the second husband of a kinswoman of mine from the area. VAUBIE MAUDE HARRELL married a Smitherman prob. in the 1940s. She is the dau. of NEAL HUTCHINSON HARRELL and ETHEL KING and the grand dau of BUD HARRELL and ALICE "MAUDE" FAULKNER. Maude was the daughter of SAM H. FAULKNER and JULIA MALLORY.(first husband was Dr. Nathan Clark) Sam and Julia's place was near Billingsley and right on the line between Autauga and Chilton Cos.
