Does anyone have the 1940 edition (the oridiginal editon) of the "History of Chilton County" compiled by T.E. Wyatt? It may also be caled "Chilton County and Her People" I have access to several of the 1950 edtions or later (1975) but I remember reading some things I think came from the orginal that don't appear in the later editions. Of course I may be mistaken as this is from memory from 20 to 25 years ago. I'm looking for info on the Dennis family and J.N. Dennis in particular. I have quite a bit on my grandfather J.N. Dennis but I'm looking for a story I recall reading that he taught school until he caught measle's or some other illness and gave it to the whole school which got him dismissed/fired from teaching. If I recall correctly that edtion offers quite a bit more in genealogical details than the more commonly avalible 1950 or 1975 editions at least for my family.
