Hello! I was quite pleased with our first Old Autauga Family Reunion. I would estimate that we had about 125 people there. Most everyone that I spoke with had a good time and found at least some useful information (there were over 700 copies made!) and made some new friends. Considering the competition from the nearby Battle of Selma, it was a great success. The Autauga Genealogical Society picked up several new members, sold a lot of books and back issues, and gained much new material for our archives. Everyone was wonderful about sharing their information. I especially enjoyed meeting in person so many of the people on the Autauga, Bibb and Chilton County lists that I have only met before though E-mail. It is nice to now be able to put a face with those E-mail addresses. There was a really good turnout of Bibb County folks. I wish that I had brought more of my Bibb research with me. Thanks to everyone for coming! I would love to hear your thoughts and ideas about the Reunion. Several people asked if we would do it again next year. Any thoughts or ideas on that?
