Anita, I am not sure whether I have written to you before but I am related to the Abney family in Chilton County. My grandmother was Mae Abney Brown, wife of Francis H. Brown of Maplesville. Her father was Samuel Abney IV, son of Thomas Hamilton Abney of Maplesville. T. H. Abney descends from the Abney's of Edgefield District, SC. Any connection?
