I sent this note to the NIX-L list and then realized that I should send it to the Chilton County list also. My GG Grandfather was Joseph Peter Nix, b. 1869, in what is now Chilton County, Alabama. His parents were John Thomas Nix and Penelope Jane Collins. John's father was Charles C. Nix. Charles C.'s father was William Nix, b. 1765 in South Carolina, d. 1862 in Alabama. While visiting with my aunt recently, she gave me a list of her father's aunts and their spouses. The list was as follows (spelling hers): Joseph Peter Nix's sisters Martha - Emmet Argo Myrtle - Doc Robison Annie - Joe Glasscock Maydel (Mary Liza) - Frank Cherry Sealie - Tom Crowson Janie - Shug Webb Lish - Quillie - Maniel Deize I'm pretty sure that Martha was Martha Amanda, Sealie was Celia Berneice (sometime Sallie), and Annie was Annie Virginia. I was also told that 2 of these sisters were married to "Shug" Webb. If someone is familiar with these women and could help me sort out their names and their spouses' names, I would appreciate it.
