There was an obituary or death mentioned of Meta (Mrs. W.B.) Vance in the BANNER on 18 August 1904. Could this be the one you are looking for? If so, the newspaper is supposed to be at the Chilton/Clanton Library. Their email address is: CCPL@scott.net. I am not sure this is the current email address, but you can try.
