Hi List, Do any of you have any history on the town of Stanton, beat 8, in Chilton Co? I would like to research it, because my children's grandparents settled there in 1927. I wondered when the town was founded and by whom, when the Stanton School was built,and who taught there in the beginning. The school was torn down, much to my sorrow. Also the Southern Railroad goes right through it---Don't know if the town was settled because of the railroad, or vice-versa. I do know---a lot of the beautiful old, massive homes burned, through the years. Some have been neglected and fell down.Mulberry Creek is close to the town and flows parallel to the railroad. The Stanton Ebenezer Baptist Church figures into history---war history. Thanks for any info you might come up with. Stella
