    3. Barry, Yes I believe that Chilton Co, Ala does maintain copies of marriage applications as far back as 1870. I recently looked up the application for marriage between my great-grandparents in 1898. The application did have some info on it that I didn't know. Marriage was between Nelson Edmon Atcheson & Minnie Bell Garner.
