I would like to make contact with anyone on this list who may have connections to an Edmund P. Martin and his family who were in Autauga County (the part that later became Baker/Chilton) in the mid 1860s. Edmund P. Martin died in Autauga (later Baker/Chilton) County, June 28, 1867. He was shown on the 1850 Natchitoches Parish, LA Census with the following family members: E. P. Martin, age 49, born in SC Nancy, age 44, born in SC Ruthie, age 22, born in SC H.T., age 19, born in SC Lucinda, age 16, born in SC Rebecca, age 14, born in SC David, age 7, born in GA I can't find Edmund P. Martin on any 1860 Alabama Census. Where was Edmund and his family in 1860? According to probate proceedings in Autauga County...there was also a daughter named Sarah who married a Gibson Freeman and a Mary, who married a Wilson (first name unknown). These two daughters were supposedly in Winn Parish, LA at the time of Edmund's Death. The son, H.T. was Hiram/Hyrum T. Martin and was also in Winn Parish at the time of his father's death. The daughter, Rebecca, married William Littlejohn December 26, 1858. Edmund's wife, Nancy, was related to the Foshees. The youngest son, David, married Frances Elizabeth Foshee. Is there anyone on this list researching this family? I would like to hear from you. Eugenia in Mobile, AL
