Does anyone frequent the AL State Archives and not mind looking up a death certificate for me? Being from out of state, it appears my only other option is to request a certified copy for $22 which I really don't need; either a photocopy or simply the information is sufficient. Since I don't know if the record even exists, I am hesitant to send the money only to get a reply of, "sorry, we can't find the record"; that has happened too many times for me to count. I don't know how AL works, but I know in SC you can go to the state archives and look up the record yourself and print a photocopy. If anyone is willing to do this (I will gladly pay for the copying and shipping), the person I am looking for is: Sarah Lafayette Chambers, died 2/01/1910 in Maplesville.
