    1. Obituary from the past
    2. Hi All, This obituary was found between the pages of a very old Bible that belonged to my mother's family., Alma Daisy (Scott) Watson, daughter of Daniel W. Scott and Mary Victoria (Langston) Scott, who lived in the Mars Hill community. There is no date, and no name of the newspaper, but I'm thinking it probably came from the Banner at Clanton, Al. I would like to share it with her descendents.....because one of my kin knew her well enough to save her obituary: Randolph. (I assume this is the community of Randolph) The Angel of death visited the home of Mr. Ben Rasberry this past week and took his beloved wife, Mrs. Sallie. She leaves many friends to grieve after her. Weep not, dear father and children, for we feel that your loss is heaven's great gain. We have known Sister Rasberry for many years and she has been a member of the Baptist church at Macedonia for a long time in good standing, and she was surely a good Christian woman. Her remains were laid to rest in the Macedonia cemetery, there to remain till the resurrection day, when all shall rise, some to life eternal and some to everlasting woe and misery. We hope her loved ones will strive to meet her in that land where sickness and sorrow never comes, where all is love forever and ever. M. C. Crumpton Neither Rasberry nor Crumpton are mine. Hopefully, somebody can use this. Peg
