Mr. Ross, I noticed you mentioned Deese's - my 2nd great grandmother's younger sister, Quillie NIX married a Manuel DEESE. They are both buried at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Jemison. I don't know who Manuel's parents were . . .in some census records he indicates he was born "at sea" . . . I am also connected to the COBB's.
