I have applied for the death cert on Sylvanes, hoprfully this should list the parents names. In alabama you have to be the direct child of the parent to get the copy of birth cert and all the children haved passed away. I will check the 1910 with John listed as 13 yo and keep in my shoebox. The AL Archives called me back this morning, there are no informal records for Chilton Co before 1908. So now it's just the waiting games. Thank you for taking the time to assist me. There is a 1945 FL. State census with John and Lummie alone at 55 and 52. there is a Chilton County Fed census for 1900 with an 8 year old John ( he should be 13) which could be him, as you never know who answered the door, and you didn't mention John's parents' names. My suggestion for the 1910 is to look in the military. He'd be 23... the military might be a place to look. Fold3 or some such site might have a trace. Hi Peg, long time since we've corresponded. Thanks for sharing the Bullock info. You may remember that is my mother-in-law's line. I'm in B'ham at Samford, attending IGHR, in the Southern Research class, Mark Lowe teaching. Hope I can remember what I'm learning. I don't have my computer with me at the moment - in the car - staying with our daughter in Calera. Anxious to see what I have/don't have on Richard Bullock. Of course, I had never thought to look at Annie's info for Bullocks and haven't worked on that line in a few years. What led you to her?
