    1. [ALCHILTO] WW2/Duke
    2. anthony nouens
    3. Dear List Members, Please assist me with the following. I am from Holland and have an interest in WW 2 history. I do research about US servicemen who were killed in WW 2 and are/were buried in the US Military Cemetery in Holland (and Belgium), near where I live. I am searching for information about and in particular a picture from: Benjamin F. Duke, killed November 27th 1943. He was from Chilton County, AL, born 1910. Can you please help me? Perhaps there was a notice about his death in 1943 in a local newspaper or in a yearbook. Other information will be appreciated. Thank you in advance, kind regards from Holland, AN

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: gatesestate Surnames: Rushton Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.alabama.counties.chilton/2619.2.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I am looking for any information on the town of Rushton, which was located where Blue Creek flowed into the Coosa River, not far above where Mitchell Dam was built. I believe the town was formerly named "Enid" before the turn of the 20th century. There was a sawmill here and a railroad that was connected with the logging business. The town was abandoned and submerged as Lake Mitchell was filled. I have also been told that there used to be some logger's cabins near where the present-day Blue Creek Marine is located. Thanks! 1. [ALCHILTO] Carolina Planters in Alabama, by Edward Patillo
    2. Julia
    3. I hope this is ok to post this here but I found it on You Tube just by digging around online for some books about Alabama. I know its not from his recent lecture there but it seems to be the same content. I was very interested in seeing notes or information from this lecture but saw the posting about it being a copyright issue. Since this is posted on You Tube I dont think im doing anything wrong by posting it here. Although there is no mention of my surnames I found it pretty interesting and funny.     http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wUNH2ZzRySY

Sometime their names are spelled wrong. Waren Martin married Huldey Jentry on 3 May 1846 in Shelby co. Alabama. Alabama started keeping record of death in 1908, it maybe hard for you to find any kind of death certificate. Dates of death you have posted, you probably will have to find someone with family bible that logged information. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
