My husband has ordered denim shirts from her since about 1994 and last time he ordered from her he had ordered a lot and now needs to order more. Her name was Faye Carter he can't find her last newer card and the old card shows the address as Route 2, Box 163, Maplesville, AL. 36750 and the old number was 205-366-2861. He tried to called that number today and it is out of service. So then I did a search on the internet and found a business called Western Style Work Shirts with the number 334-366-5606 and have called it all day and get a busy sound. It also shows a web page as http://www.fayecarterdesignworkshirts.com and the page is not there. My question is does someone know her or the business? My husband said she had mentioned to him years back that she had some people that worked for her. I would like to know if maybe something had happened to her and if so did someone else buy her business and what is the new business name etc. so we can order more denim work shirts. Thank you for reading, Theresa theresagriffiths@iwon.com Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Autauga Genealogical Society Date: Sunday, September 15, at 2 p.m. Location: 131 North Washington Street, Prattville, across from St. Mark's Episcopal Church. You Should Know: Eddie Pattillo of New South Books will speak on his new publication, Carolina Planters on the Alabama Frontier. Mr. Pattillo is an active historian, writing articles for such publications as Alabama Heritage. He was born near Tallassee, Alabama, where both sides of his family settled lands along the Tallapoosa River and in Montgomery soon after the Creek Nation was ceded to the United States. He was educated at Auburn University and the University of Alabama and at Columbia University, New York. In this book the Spencer-Robeson-McKenzie Family collects the papers of Elihu Spencer, a fourth-generation New Englander, and his family and Southern descendants, to form a history of the American nation from the point of view of planters and those they held in slavery. The documents in this volume are accounts of a privileged world that was afflicted by constant loss and despair. The families lived as isolated, landed gentry in a society where medical treatment had hardly evolved since the Middle Ages. The papers together form a dramatic narrative of early Americans from the mid-eighteenth century to the harsh years after the Civil War. They created their new society with courage and imagination and tenacity, while never recognizing their own moral blind spot regarding the holding of human beings in slavery. It brought about the collapse of their world—poignantly expressed in these letters. Visitors are always welcome to attend the meetings. Information: 365-4713

I've been doing Ancestry and family trees for almost 20 years now across the USA. I've done thousands of family trees for thousands of families and it has been a blast! Over the last 6 months I've put together the how to guide I wrote on finding your ancestors, breaking down those walls and finding the answers you have had a hard time looking for. You can get a free copy if you would like :) In addition to the guide I wrote, I also made a point and click program that works on any computer, PC or Apple, Windows. Gives you point and click access to Census, family trees, adoption & adoptee sources cemeteries, Revolutionary War, civil war, WW1, WW2 and Korean War, old land deeds, obituaries old state maps, county formations Slave index, Indian rolls and hundreds of thousands of searchable newspaper archive from the mid 1850s to today just to name a few along with thousands of Facebook groups and social media groups to network with others, finding family in other states and trading old ancestor pictures! Also threw in my guide to Native American heritage ancestry. Can be difficult figuring out which tribe your ancestors came from. From the thousands of family trees I have done, quite a few of them had roots that went into tribes all across the USA, so I have quite a bit of experience in the area of native American ancestry. All family trees spread out in many states, So I have included every state in my program :) Every State and Every county in the USA. So, whether your just getting started in ancestry or if you have been doing it for years, my Ancestor Hunt program will help you out and help you break down the walls. I've also included a database of people across the USA in each state that offer free lookups, so if you can't get to a certain state or if it's too far away just contact these people and they will do their best to help you out :) Also included is easy family tree program that is by far the easiest program to create your actual family tree. You can create your tree, Save it, print it out or publish it online, all from my program. Also, for some extra fun I added some celebrities, presidents etc family trees to see if you might be in the same line as them :) If you would like a free copy just send me a e-mail ancestorhunt1958@gmail.com There is a $6.00 shipping handling fee, to cover the shipping and creation of the CD-ROM. As I said before it works on any platform computer. PC, Apple, any version of windows etc. Happy Hunting!! Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
