    3. Barry, Yes I believe that Chilton Co, Ala does maintain copies of marriage applications as far back as 1870. I recently looked up the application for marriage between my great-grandparents in 1898. The application did have some info on it that I didn't know. Marriage was between Nelson Edmon Atcheson & Minnie Bell Garner. Does anyone know if marriage applications exist for Chilton County that far back? It could break through a brick wall. > >Thanks for helping. > >Barry Fox >Greenville, SC >

    1. Men of Early Chilton County - Pictures
    2. Barry Fox
    3. I have two pictures that I would like to post for two reasons: 1) Thought someone else might enjoy them 2) Get some help in identifying who they are Both pictures are pre 1913. This is a group of Masons. The man on the far left is John Thomas Adams. I don't know who any of the others are. http://members.aol.com/btcmfox/masons.html This is a group of men who I believed worked on the railroad. The man with the "X" is James Franklin Adams. I think the man to his right might be the same John Thomas Adams as in the picture above. Again, I don't know any of the others. http://members.aol.com/btcmfox/men.html If anyone can help identify these men, it would be greatly appreciated. Barry

    2. Jackson, Mike
    3. Chilton was originally Baker County but never Jones County. County formed as Baker about 1868. Name changed about 1870 to Chilton. Two things happened about the same time....Mr. Baker suspected of anther act of indiscretion, and popular Chilton died. 1. FULLER family of early AL
    2. Barry Fox
    3. I have been trying to find out more information on the FULLER family of early AL, specifically the Middleton F. and Mahalia FULLER family, who I believe are my gg grandparents. This has been a brick wall for a number of years. As a part of my research, I have poured over the early census records of Baker, Bibb, Chilton, and Perry Counties where they lived. I have compiled this information into a simple website hoping it may spark some feedback from another researcher of this family. I also thought it might be useful to others who may not even be in my branch of Fullers. http://members.aol.com/btcmfox/fullerwebpage.html Happy hunting, and let me know if there are any connections.
