Info I have is 1900 census, listing him in Dixon, Cherokee, AL with head of house being Malissa Butler. He was born in 1883 in AL and died in 1970 in AR. Funeral home records list his father as Matt Butler and mother as Ann Spurlin. There were several sibs listed, although census indicates Malissa had 4 children with only 2 living.
