Can you send me the link to the 1870 census you looked at? Well actually I did find census records for an Albert in 1860 and 1870, but those list his birthplace as AL, and his parent's birth places in South Carolina. I'm still trying to figure out if this is the same Albert. In regards to Sallie, some of the census records that have Albert's wife listed as "Sallie" also lists a Theo Dosia as her daughter. My mom remembers an "Aunt Dosha." I found Dosha's death certificate, and her mother's name is listed as Sallie Gladden. I'm at a loss!! P.S. Are you related to the Pruitt's?
