My great great grandfather was Albert Pruitt. All I can tell is that he married a Sallie and later records show him married to a Sarah. I'm not sure if they're the same person or if he later married. I've also found records that show he was born in GA as well as evidence showing he was born in AL. I THINK he at some point worked as a tin peddler in GA before moving to Cherokee County, AL. Ultimately I'm trying to find out if there is any Cherokee blood in the Pruitt line. Family lore says there is. I believe he was born ca. 1858. Any help is much appreciated.
