Smith and his wife Elizabeth Sewell. They were not born in Cherokee County, AL. John was born in Georgia. They had 16, or so, children all born in Cherokee County, AL. Children are William, Jane, Anna, Mary, Martha, Amanda, Sarah, Rachel, Joel, Robert, John L. Josephine, Charles, Francis and George. John, Elizabeth, some of their children, and even grandchildren, are buried in Sheepskin Cemetery, Cherokee County, AL. I have hit a wall and cannot find any more information on this family.
