Can someone tell me who I should contact to find out if there is a birth record or marriage record that took place in Cherokee Co? Is there a County Clerk that will do lookups for a fee? I know some counties do and then some other's will do it for no fee and then other's don't do it at all. Birth took place in 1840 in Cherokee Co., marriage about 1858, possible in Cherokee Co.
