FOR YOUR INFORMATION - The Heritage Book series are a compilation of articles written by genealogical societies and individuals usually still living in that county who want to remember their families. They have articles regarding churches, businesses, schools, town founding, etc. They also have articles regarding certain families which are usually in alphabetical order. The index is just an index of the last names of the people who are written about or mentioned in the articles. It does not list first names. When you go to look for a certain individual, you might have to read a whole page (fairly small print) to find a name on the page. This is one book that I will buy at a later date (as soon as I get up enough money), because it is filled with information on my Stewart/Akin/Johnson family.
