    3. Travis; I was in Cherokee Co about 3 or 4 years ago doing some research. I bought a book at the Anniston Library with the 1860-70-80 Census Indices and the Mortality Schedules in it. I have also, in the past, had quite a lot of e-mail conversation with a lady that did quite a bit of research for others at the Anniston Library. Through these contacts I have a notion that the Library MIGHT have some publications on Cherokee County. Another source of information might be Mrs Frank Ross Stewart who has written extensively of Cherokee County. I may have an address for Mrs Stevens and an E-mail address for the library tucked away in my floppy archives and if I do I will post them. Also, a couple of days ago there was a posting, either in this list or the ALABAMA List stating that the Gadsden, AL library had a lot of information on Cherokee Co.
