    3. Jeannette, You mentioned Halls from Rome, Ga.; do you have an Ezekiel A. Hall b. 1830; m. Mary Andrews, b. 1821. Ezekiel was a Babtist Preacher and died in the Civil War. I have found no reference to him on any rosters; I don't know if he was a civilian casualty or what. I have 2 sons listed for him, my great grandfather, James Asbury Hall, b. Aug. 26, 1849, and David Hall (no dates). Son, James was born in Calhoun County, Alabama. James A. Hall m. on Oct. 1, 1882 to Martha Ann Malinda Vanilla Canant John Chandler, in Cherokee Co. Alabama. their children: Charlie Taylor Asbury Hall, Mary Ida Hall, Amanda Evergreen (Evie) Hall, my grandmother, Lena Estella Hall, Emma Malinda Hall, Doshia Elsie Hall. Brother David Hall m. JoAnna (?); their children : Gus Hall, Amos Hall, Willie Hall, Vanilla Hall. My great grandparents lived and died in DeKalb County, Alabama. The ages of my gg grandmother was determined from the census information. All the information on Ezekiel was passed from a cousin, then on down. In one reference the cousin wrote he was born in Ala. and in another, Ga. Any help or ideas are appreciated. Thank you , Sandy Garrett Owsley
