Josiah or (Isaiah )Ivey lived in Cherokee co, AL after 1850. We found him on the 1860 Census with his family. Two of his sons were not with him at this time. James stayed in Marlboro Co. SC, while Enoch Jefferson went to Marshall Co. MS. My question is this. The records show his wife as Martha. Our family records list her as a Patricia Miles. Recently I found a Martha Patsy Miles-b 3/5/1824 Limestone Co.AL She is marr to Johnathan Isom. As she is too young to be a wife to Isaiah, could she possibly be an aunt by the same name. I also found a second Martha Patsy Miles in SC as early as the 1700's. Any help in solving this mystery would be very much appreciated.
