I am looking for info on Richard battles and Millie Pollard. I found where someone had submitted a querie to Cherokee Co., AL Queiries, but was unable to access the querrie. It gave a marriage date for Richard and Millie as 12 Dec. 1867. When I clicked on it tho, the page had been deleted. I think that this may be due to USGENWEb's recent revamping with Ancestry.com. Can anyone help me with this? I am looking for this info for another researcher who is new to this. His ancestor was James Pinkney Helms who married Annie Laura Battles. James P.'s parents were Michael Helms and Elizabeth Thomas. They are listed in the 1900 Census of Cherokee Co., AL in the Dixon Precinct as is J. Pink Helms and Annie L. I have obtained their death certificates. Annie Laura Battles Helms' parents are listed as Richard Battles and Millie Pollard. I haven't found Richard and Millie in the census yet. There are many Helms in Cherokee Co., Al. and I believe that at least some of them are close relatives of James Pinkney Helms. James' father Michael may be a brother to my ancestress-but I haven't found proof of that yet. They were in Campbell Co., Ga. in 1850-1880, so they must have moved to Cherokee Co. some time between 1880 and 1900. Thanks for any help. Mona
