    3. Sand Rock appears to be in the 11th beat, also called Brindley some years ago. The principal voting place was Sand Rock. According to a 1:100,000 30 x 60 minute quadrangle by the Geological Survey, Sand Rock is in Township 9 South, Range 8 East. The village of Sand Rock in particular is in the northwest quadrant of Section 23 in that township.
