Looking for any information on this family: James C Tolbert of Cherokee Coutny, Ala Enumerated on: 1870 Cherokee County Census Page 365 Line 18 James Tolbert age 39 Emeline wife age 37 Mary age 16 William S? age 8 Elizabeth age 2 Enumerated on: 1860 Cherokee County Census Page 343 Line 1 James Tolbert age 28 Emeline wife age 26 Mary age 5 Martha age 3 James C Tolbert married Emeline Little in Carroll County, Ga on 8/31/1851 This may be my ggrandfather. Need additional info to be sure. The one possible link that this may be my ggrandfather is the child William S? Can't make out the middle initial on the census. Looks like an "S", can also be an "A" or a "C". My grandfather is William C Tolbert. Anyone have anything from this family that list's William's name better than the census did would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for anything you can provide. I'm at a dead end here.
