Author: margo122050 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.alabama.counties.cherokee/1218.3/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Manima and Sparrow Brown are also my ancestors throught their son Zachariah Taylor. In 2000, on a family trip, we found Manima's gravesite at Lebanon Campground Cemetery ( I believe it was a white church, do not remember a school) along with her son and daughter in law. We could not locate Sparrow. I have been unsuccessful locating information on his burial site. I have contacted several people in that area who have not been able to find him. you would think that he would be buried in the same cemetery. How are you related to Sparrow and Manima? Please if you find out any information, contact me at margo122050@mac.com. I will be happy to share what I do have. Thank you! I can email you the pages if you like. But I have to have your email address. It seems that James had more history than Rolen. I can't find out much on him.His wife was "Lucretia King" and she was from AL. King was her maiden name. She is suppose to be Indian but have found no proof.I have some census records from Blount county 1860.And I know that James LAcey was a private in 6-16-1862 in Burrowville under caption Samuel Leslie but went AWOL in Dec.7 1862 at Prairie Grove, Ar. I got that from Complied Service records- 32nd Arkansas Infantry roll # 207. Send me your email and I will be glad to send you what I got. I look forward to renewing our discussion about our Branham connection. What kind of information do they have at the museum and where is it located? Can you tell me more about Rolen? I think he and his brother James (my line) must have been close. Have you heard of Joab Farley? He was a cousin to them and was in the same area as Rolen on one census and as I recall got married in Conway County. Author: 82epp4 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.alabama.counties.cherokee/2678/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Google Ad Sense is when a web site owner opens an account with Google to place advertisement on their web site. When a person clicks this advertisement, the web site owner gets an average commission of .45 cents. A web site that gets a lot of traffic, they can easily make $150,000 per month. There are message boards claiming to be informing the public about scams being done by companies or individuals. These web sites have individuals working for them for the sole purpose of targeting companies or individuals in order to generate traffic to the web site. This method is artificially generating traffic to the web site, this is FRAUD as outlined by Google. The higher the traffic, the higher the percentage of individuals that will click onto the Google advertisements. Additionally, Individuals post copy right information about a company on these types of web sites; this is against the policy of the Google Ad Sense program. If you believe that you are being targeted by individuals on a particular web site; simply click the Ads by Google in the bottom right hand corner of the advertisement on the web site. You will be taken to a Google page, click onto: Report a policy violation regarding the site or ads you just saw Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I'm VERY happy to have found you, despite the seven year differential. I have almost no information on the Pates, except for a family .ged file that Joel Pate provided for me (God bless Joel Pate). My grandmother Alma died at the tender age of 42. So finding one of Wiley Pate's great-grandchildren is a great good fortune. We are of the same generation. I do hope you get this after all these years. David Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. The only question of yours I can answer is that Bazel/Benj/Basil, Walter, Van and William are brothers. Most of Martha's children died in Cherokee or Calhoun, AL, however one daughter, Mary, died in Frisco, TX. William and Bazel are buried in the Pleasant Gap Cemetery. How are these men related? Where did Walter go after 1860? Is Walter the Cyrus W. Davis shown in land records with William Davis? Are William and Walter Davis sons of John and Rachel Davis? Where in South Carolina did the Davis family come from? Thanks for any assistance you can give me. Cheryl A. 2. Sorry I don't know your Davis family. But you might try Searcy Co. Ark--the County not the Town. Several families from Cherokee Co Ala went to Searcy Co. after abt 1860. There are some Davis familes in Searcy Co but have no idea if they connect to yours. I do not research Davis. Just a thought. Kathy
