Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/GS.2ADI/708.1 Message Board Post: Our copy of the 1860 Cherokee County census indicates a William "C" PAYDON, age 39, born in Ga with the following household members: Martha, 35; Catharine, 16; James, 14; John, 12; William, 10; George, 8; Mary, 5; and Sara, 2. Also listed is Louisa Norris, age 22. The census indicates all these people were born in Georgia. If that is accurate William and Martha were likely married somewhere in GA. This family was not listed on the 1850 or the 1870 Cherokee County, AL census. Sorry we couldn't be more help.
