Hello, How involved are you with the McColloughs? Is there a Musa McCollough (various spelling of last name) married to a Blackmon, probably in the Columbus, GA area? Daye, Hello, Also Valley Library in Chambers County has a great historical library. I went in October to family reunion in Milltown. And I wish I could have spent more time there. They also have reference books on SC and GA. Since many families migrated from those areas. Hi Charles, I'm trying to find a very old map and I'm not sure where Collins Ferry Route would be. My gr gr gr grandfather Nicholas Briskey/brisky was a surveyor for the government on the old Collins Ferry Route that was done after the indians we're removed from the area. He is in Bobby Lindsey's book reason for the tears. I'd like to try to get a copy of that map. They ended up settling in Milltown, Chambers County, Alabama. I was there in October and really enjoyed it for family reunion. Hope to come next year. I'm disabled so can't afford to hire anyone so any help is greatfully appreciated. Hi Mary, I saw that you are researching the Satterwhites. Do you have a Edward Satterwhite, born about 1801 who married Susan Bartee in your files? I am researching the Bartees and are hitting a brick wall on Susan's and Abraham Marshall Bartee parents. I believe that they are brother an sister as both were born in Georgia about the same time (1800-1805) and both were married in Jones County, GA. I also have a few Weldons connected with my family trees in my data base. Thank you for info have passed it on to family. We are presently undertaking a big project. My cousin in Chambers county and I are trying to get all cousins to download their information on Briskey/Brisky family and it's a hudge family and any inner marriages families. Eventually we would also like to make it like an archive perhaps eventually giving a copy to the historical society in Valley, AL. And also she found out there are boxes of 1800's papers in a store room that Lafayette Court House in Lafayette AL has. She's been making copies of all of those pertaining to our family.
