    1. [ALCHAMBE-L] Kitchens/Manning - Rand/Chamb, AL
    2. Penny Dodd
    3. I am seeking info on Henry L. Kitchens, son of Henry Kitchens. Henry L. was born about 1856, Chambers Co., AL. He married Missouri P. Manning Dec 12, 1874 in Chamb. Co. They both died in Randolph Co. He in March 1930 and she in April 1923. The only census I could find them in with any children was 1910 in Randolph Co., with dau Hassie born 1895. Missouri stated she had 7 children with 7 still living. I have searched 1880 & 1900 census with no luck as to the other 6 children. Hassie Kitchens married Howel Henry Lane about 1915. Does anyone have any info on this Kitchens Family? Where are they hiding in 1880 and 1900? Any help will be gratefully accepted. Penny/CA

    1. [ALCHAMBE-L] Marriage Book
    2. Hello: I am new to this list and need help: I am trying to help a cousin with her genealogy. I have seen and copied the page from the transcripted Chambers County Marriage Book which gives the date for the marriage of William D. Haynes and Lucretia H. Pace as November 9, 1854. We have some reason to believe this date of 1854 may be incorrect. Pehaps the entry in the transcripted version may be a typo, perhaps not. So, I need to see the entry in the original document which I assume is still in the Chambers County Courthouse. My question is: Is it possible to write the County Clerk and order a copy of the original from the marriage book? I live in Florida. Any help in this matter will be greatly appreciated. My ancestor, Rev. Dreadzil Evans Pace, (Lucretia's father) was one of the early residents of Chambers County, until he moved to Talladega (now Clay) County. Thank you, W. James Pace

    1. Re: [ALCHAMBE-L] Re: Genealogical Publication
    2. Tap roots is a genealogy publication for the East Alabama region which includes Chambers county. It has been published for a number of years and so I don't know who all is included in it. Lots of families submitted articles of genealogy interest to the periodical so there is a good chance there is some mention of Bass in it. I have some Bass connections in Elmore county contact me at rexmt2@aol.com so we can compare notes. Rex
