I am very interested in the family of William M. Hughes of Choccolocco. My husband's great-grandfather, James M. Williams married Martha Hughes in Calhoun County around 1869. (His grandfather was born in 1870.) This information comes from my husband's grandfather's Social Security application and family tradition. I just cannot find a marriage certificate for this marriage. Martha was dead before 1880. James M. William's brother (William Frank Williams) married Eliza Jane Hughes in 1866 in Calhoun County. It would only stand to reason that Eliza Jane and Martha Hughes were sisters who married brothers. I would love to correspond with anyone interested in this family. Thanks, Clara Williams
