Some of the Elliott Descendants of Benton Co., AL in the 1830s moved on to Nacogdoches Co., TX. One of the sons married the sister of one of my Muckleroy ancestors. I have Muckleroy, Allen, and Burrows who were in Benton. They were related by marriage to McBee, Boozer, Elliott, McMichael, Self. After the Muckleroys arrived in Nacogdoches (or Cherokee Co., TX), they married Kendall, Lambert, Strahan, and Stephens. Moses Elliot b. 1780 SC, d. 1840 Cherokee Co., AL m. Gillie Smith b. SC.
