I am looking for info on John and Samuel Southeren who were listed as stepchildren to George W. Smith in the 1880 Calhoun census. John is 6 years of age and Samuel is 3 years of age. I am trying to determine if this is the same John Southern who married in 1891 in Etowah Co (Gadsden) to Mary Wary. Any info on this family would be helpful. The census also shows George's father-in-law, Samuel (last name unable to read) looks like Crumhilton????? and his 17 year old son as living with George.
